In The Jane Austen Book Club, when they met at Grigg’s home he shows his Sci-Fi geekiness with his collection of Toy Robots lined up on top of the hearth and the selection of movie posters we get to see on his wall: Robot companions, science gone wrong and Alien invasions reflect the deep set love for Golden Age Sci-Fi his father instilled within him by exposing him early to pulp magazines like Amazing Stories or Astounding Tales.
