Rest in Peace: Jacinto Molina AKA Paul Naschy Jacinto Molina, the genre genious behind the legendary figure of the cursed count Waldemar Daninsky, movie histories longest running Werewolf series and second longest running movie series, only topped by the James Bond movies so far, died on 30. November from cancer at the age of 75.
I can sure say that if it hadn't been for this iconic movie character of his, I wouldn't have found my undying love for this specific subgenre (werewolf movies) that soon. Thanks for those wonderful movies.
You will be sadly missed. My heartfelt condolences go to his family and friends.
"When someone doesn't show up, the people who wait sometimes tell stories about what might have happened and come to half believe the desertion, the abduction, the accident. Worry is a way to pretend that you have knowledge or control over what you don't--and it surprises me, even in myself, how much we prefer ugly scenarios to the pure unknown. Perhaps fantasy is what you fill up maps with rather than saying that they too contain the unknown."— Rebecca Solnit
